ScoreSort Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy for ScoreSort
Last updated: May 2026
Overview
ScoreSort is a macOS application for working with music PDF files. It does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
Data collected
None. ScoreSort does not collect any personal information, usage statistics, crash reports, or analytics of any kind.
Your files
All PDF files you open in ScoreSort are processed entirely on your device. No file content, filenames, or metadata are ever transmitted to any server or third party. Files are only read from and written to locations you explicitly choose using the system file picker.
Preferences
ScoreSort stores your in-app preferences (such as instrument order, separator characters, and ensemble type) locally on your device using macOS’s standard UserDefaults system. This data never leaves your device.
Network access
ScoreSort can check for updates using the Sparkle framework. When checking for updates, your device makes a network request to GitHub (where release information is hosted) to retrieve the latest version number. No personal data, file content, or usage information is transmitted as part of this request. Update checks only occur in builds downloaded directly from the developer — the App Store / TestFlight version does not make any network connections.
Third-party services
ScoreSort does not use any third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising frameworks, or crash-reporting services.
Children’s privacy
ScoreSort does not collect data from anyone, including children.
